Hotel Room Scam Alert
A third-party housing company called Exhibitors Housing Services has contacted MTA attendees and exhibitors trying to get them to book MTA Convention hotel rooms through their service at what they claim to be a “better rate.”
PLEASE NOTE: Exhibitors Housing Services is not affiliated in any way with MTA or the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.
Third-party companies, such as Exhibitors Housing Services, sometimes promise rooms in hotels where they do not actually have rooms or blocks set up. There is the potential to be left without a room and to lose money paid in advance if you book through them.
If you have made a reservation through this company, or have questions or concerns, contact MTA’s Meeting Manager Julie Cygan, at 651-290-7475 or via email at email@example.com.

Keynote: The Upside of Down by Joe Malarkey
Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – Noon
Joe Malarkey® is a member of the National Speakers Association “Speakers Hall of Fame”. His “Choose to Lose” philosophy propelled him to television appearances ranging from the prestigious 60 Minutes to the embarrassing To Tell the Truth. Successful Meetings Magazine listed Joe as one of its Top Ten Speakers in America. Amazingly, all this recognition came in spite of his notoriously poor work ethic and perpetually bad attitude.
