MTA has partnered with the MN Cable Communications Association to present the third annual Broadband Conference!

Some of Minnesota’s biggest names in politics are scheduled to speak at this event.

After a welcome by Lt. Gov. Tina Smith, KSTP-TV Chief Political Reporter Tom Hauser will moderate a panel with House Speaker Kurt Daudt, House Minority Leader Melissa Hortman, Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka and Senate Minority Leader Tom Bakk. U.S. Representative Tom Emmer, and other prominent members of the Minnesota Legislature, are also scheduled to appear. Barry Umansky, Professor of Telecommunications at the Ball State University Digital Policy Institute (and former Deputy General Counsel for the National Association of Broadcasters) will make a presentation on the future of telecommunications. And this is just a sampling of the heavy hitters you’ll hear from!

This educational event that will focus on Net Neutrality, Government’s Role in Broadband, Wireless Spectrum/FirstNet, Technology Advance and the Future of Telecom. This conference is conveniently scheduled for the day after Day on the Hill, February 23.
